  • Sample can be placed directly onto heater ceramic top plate
  • Standard sizes from Ø1” to Ø8”
  • For use in high vacuum, inert atmosphere and O2 / air
  • Custom shapes and sizes available on request
  • Can be used as direct replacement for Halogen lamp heaters
  • Easily adapted for special larger sizes and square / rectangular heater requirements

What are Nickel Chrome vacuum heaters used for?

Nickel Chrome vacuum heaters are used for sample heating in high vacuum, inert atmosphere and O2 / air environments. They provide a cost effective and versatile heating option for a range of sample sizes and mounting requirements.

What temperature can the NiCr heater reach?

The heater has an 800°C ceramic top plate temperature and a 1000°C element temperature.

What sizes are available?

Standard sizes are available from Ø1” to Ø8”. The table includes hot zone sizes from 52mm to 205mm, depending on the part number.

Can the heater be mounted in different orientations?

Yes. The heater can be mounted in any orientation. It is usually supplied with an M6 stud for mounting, but it can also be flange mounted or supplied as a free standing heater.

Can samples be placed directly onto the heater?

Yes. Samples can be placed directly onto the heater ceramic top plate.

Can Nickel Chrome vacuum heaters be customised?

Yes. Custom shapes and sizes are available on request, including special larger sizes and square or rectangular heater requirements. For wider sample heating options, see Thermic Edge sample heaters.

What optional extras are available?

Optional extras include an additional outer heatshield, water cooling of the additional outer heatshield and / or base, flange mounting and power feedthroughs.

Can the heater be used with heater stages?

Yes. Heater stage mounting is available for rotation and sample transfer. Thermic Edge also supplies dedicated heater stages for sample manipulation and heating requirements.

Can NiCr heaters replace halogen lamp heaters?

Yes. Nickel Chrome vacuum heaters can be used as a direct replacement for halogen lamp heaters.
