Ceramitec 2026: Expanding Awareness and Strengthening Connections
Ceramitec 2026 proved to be a genuinely valuable event for Thermic Edge. It brought together a broad mix of industries, from research and development environments through to established industrial manufacturers, all with a shared interest in high-performance materials and thermal processes.
Across the full duration of the exhibition, footfall remained strong and consistent. This created a steady flow of conversations rather than short bursts of activity, which gave us the time to properly engage with visitors, understand their applications, and explore where our solutions could fit.
The event was not just about visibility. It was about quality interactions, and in that respect, it delivered.
A Straightforward Setup That Let Us Focus on What Matters
From a practical point of view, the setup process was smooth and efficient. With our own displays and pop-up materials prepared in advance, the stand came together quickly and presented a clear and professional presence.
Having that foundation in place meant we could put our full attention into engaging with customers rather than dealing with last-minute adjustments. That always makes a difference at events like this, where the value comes from conversations, not just presentation.
Reconnecting with Existing Customers and Building New Relationships
One of the strongest aspects of Ceramitec was the balance between familiar and new faces. It was great to reconnect with existing customers, many of whom we have worked with for years, and hear how their projects are progressing.
These conversations often went beyond simple updates. They opened up discussions around future requirements, new challenges, and where our capabilities could continue to support their work.
Alongside this, we met a number of new prospects who came with well-defined applications and a clear interest in what we offer. These were not casual enquiries. Many were tied to active or upcoming projects, which made the conversations both relevant and productive from the outset.
Expanding Awareness of Our Ceramic and Materials Capabilities
A key takeaway from the event was how many visitors were not fully aware of the depth of our materials offering, particularly when it comes to advanced ceramics.
When we began discussing our in-house silicon carbide coatings, alongside the ceramics and graphite components we manufacture ourselves, there was a noticeable shift in understanding. For many, this was the first time they had connected Thermic Edge with this level of in-house capability.
These materials are not standalone products. They form an integral part of our wider systems, including heater stages, vacuum furnaces and CVD furnaces. Once that link was clear, conversations naturally moved towards more integrated solutions rather than individual components.
This shift in perception was one of the most valuable outcomes of the event.
Highlighting UK-Based Manufacturing
Another consistent theme throughout the exhibition was surprise around our location. Many visitors did not expect us to be a UK-based manufacturer.
With relatively few UK companies present, this became a natural point of differentiation. It allowed us to highlight not just where we are based, but how we operate. Designing and manufacturing in-house gives us a level of control, flexibility and quality assurance that is difficult to replicate.
There was a clear appreciation for this approach, particularly from customers who value traceability, consistency and direct collaboration.
It also gave us the chance to represent UK engineering in a positive light, which was something we were proud to do.
Gaining Insight into Market Direction
Beyond customer conversations, Ceramitec also offered a useful snapshot of where the industry is heading.
There is a strong and growing focus on high temperature materials and advanced ceramics, particularly in applications where performance under extreme conditions is critical. Durability, precision and material stability are clearly front of mind across multiple sectors.
This aligns closely with the direction Thermic Edge has been developing in, which reinforces the relevance of our current work and highlights opportunities for further growth.
Looking Ahead After Ceramitec 2026
Overall, Ceramitec 2026 delivered exactly what an exhibition like this should. Strong engagement, meaningful conversations, and a clearer understanding of both customer needs and wider market trends.
We left with strengthened relationships, new connections, and a broader awareness of how our capabilities are being perceived. Just as importantly, we left with a clearer idea of how to continue building on that momentum.
For Thermic Edge, it was not just a successful event. It was a step forward in how we communicate what we do and where we fit within an evolving industry.
