Advanced Vacuum Furnaces for High-Temperature Testing

Vacuum Furnace

Introduction:

We are an independent supplier of Laboratory Vacuum Furnaces, serving a wide range of industries and research institutions. Thermic Edge has developed a comprehensive line of Vacuum Furnace systems to address the increasing demand for sample heaters capable of reaching temperatures up to 3000°C in various environments. These systems are designed to meet all needs related to Substrate, Wafer, Crucible Heating, and environmental requirements.

Space Efficiency

Research institutions and industrial laboratories face a common challenge of limited space for Laboratory Furnaces. To this, we provide a small range of Vacuum Furnaces that take small real estate. Our furnaces can heat samples with a diameter of 2 inches and a height of 3 inches, or a diameter of 4 inches and a height of 2 inches.

High-Temperature Testing

Fast increasing growth of high-temperature testing of materials in Hydrogen environments is the predominant factor for demand development in recent years. As a response to this need, Thermic Edge has created Tungsten Laboratory Furnaces that can work at temperatures as high as 2600°C. The furnaces not only minimize the material degradation in vacuum but also are capable of handling reactive high-temperature environments.

Heat Shielding and Cooling

In order to mitigate thermal control issues, Thermic Edge has adopted heat shielding and water cooling strategy. This technology provides the furnace with a small form factor while still being able to cool the exterior to a temperature that is safe to touch.

Silicon Carbide Coated Graphite Furnaces

We are also providing hot zones with Silicon Carbide (SiC) Coated Graphite specifically made for oxidizing gaseous environments such as O2. These furnaces accept wafer sizes from 2″ to 8″ and can be fitted with multiple gas inlets or a mass flow controller, thus, saving costs and space. By achieving a maximum temperature of 1400°C, SiC Coated Graphite Furnaces are the best choice for Atomic Layer Deposition and Thin Film applications.

Power Supply Efficiency

In the direction of minimizing even more the footprint of all our Vacuum Furnaces, we use a DC switch mode power supply (PSU). This particular type of power supply does not require big banks of capacitors and therefore the size as well as the mass of the system are reduced.
